What makes them special? : Visually enticing, this write up is full of pictures, some in step by step lay out to help you at every stage of the preparation of the dish. It also possesses a recipe index which is perfect and a cooking classes section.

Where are they based? : Michigan, America.

Why read their blog/website? : Boredom is impossible on this beautiful website that combines so many interesting elements about Italian gastronomy, incredibly engaging and personal.

Who are they? :
In her own words “Transplanted Californian- Reborn Tuscan”

What makes them special? : With a wealth of knowledge spanning 30 years she’s the go to girl. There really is something for everyone here and with a simple but delightful presentation it isn’t too much to take in.

Where are they based? : Italy

Why read their blog/website? : This clean and crisp website has great resources: a cook book, an app, tours, classes and a recipe index. It’s a little bit too good to be true but with a recommendation from Mara Jernigan, President of Slow Food Canada, it certainly is. You’ll be glad you clicked onto her website.


Silvia’s Cucina

Who are they? : In her own words: Italian-born food lover. She’s also a bit of a movie star having featured in quite a few movies. Not only that she’s dabbled in opera too!

What makes them special? : This cute site separates dishes into starters, mains, soups, starchy foods and sweets and treats which is extremely helpful given the number of sites which don’t always give you an organised slate.

Where are they based? : Sydney, Australia.

Why read their blog/website? : She’s incredibly interesting but she doesn’t detract from the food, and the organised system in place helps navigation and purpose when attempting to prepare a meal, dish of treat of any kind.

Deborah Mele, a passionate cook with 40 years of experience with Italian food.

What makes them special? : Over 40 years you can do plenty and the website reflects the plethora of information she has on Italian food in general catering to expectations with sections on culinary things one might forget to expect on a website-very thorough.

Where are they based? : Umbria, Italy and North America

Why read their blog/website? : You’d be mad not to, it’s a great organised resource and one worth bookmarking if you have any interest in  learning Italian gastronomic craft. It is also well colour coordinated and full of visuals to pair with the information at hand.
